A question I’m often asked is where do I buy my pen kits. And I’m always on the lookout for suppliers I don’t know about. In response to both those needs, I decided to build a list of pen kit suppliers.
Wow – this has been a wonderful education and exercise for me. I didn’t know there were so many suppliers on the market. Some of these are fairly well known and some are not. I hope this will be a helpful reference list for those just getting started with pen turning and even the veterans. Many thanks to my fellow pen turners who suggested several of these suppliers.
Below are links to the suppliers, and I also include other helpful links to videos, pen kit instructions, or other resources. Hope you enjoy!
(For those who are interested, please check out my new 8-Part Video Series on Pen Turning 101. It takes the beginner pen turner through all the steps — and tools you’ll need — to make a pen. Enjoy!)
