Would you like a pen that’s reminiscent of the Wild West Era? In this post, I will give you a quick overview and introduction to the Revolver Pen Kit. At the end of the post, I’ll provide some close-up shots of the pen.
The revolver pen is a fun and easy pen to make. You only need to turn one section of the pen because the upper section is aluminum and resembles the fluted cylinder of a revolver. The click mechanism works very smoothly. The pen clip resembles a six shooter that Wild Bill Hickok might have carried.
Comes in 4 different plating colors: bright aluminum, satin, matte black, and gun metal. I’m not sure this is my favorite gun-related pen in terms of its style, but it’s still a cool pen to make and carry. The Revolver Pen Kit was also very easy to assemble. All the compression parts pressed together nicely.
I know – I can carry this pen with my real pistol. I carry a Kimber Solo.
I don’t have a tutorial for this pen, but below are some details and links to help you find instructions and order the kit:
Revolver Pen Kit – Woodcraft Store – Item # 160152
Bushings – Item # 160161
10 mm Pen Makers drill bit – Item # 149127
Look through some pen catalogs or goggle images of the revolver pen to choose your wood blank. Or maybe you will want to use antler or some type of acrylic blank. I decided to use Cocobolo because I liked how it contrasts with the satin plating. This pen should make a great gift for history buffs or gun enthusiasts.

If you’d like me to post a picture of a revolver pen you have made, send it to me, and I’ll upload to my Facebook Page. I hope you enjoyed this introduction and overview of the Revolver Pen Kit. I believe you will be very pleased with this pen kit and the final product.
God bless,
Scott
