Below are some of the companies I’ve used to build my website. Check these out if you want to learn more about website startup resources. Some of the links below are affiliate links which means I receive a small commission if you purchase from certain links.
Setting up a Website or Blog
Bluehost is the hosting service I use for my website. They have a very easy WordPress integration option which makes it very easy to start your website or blog. I highly recommend Bluehost for entrepreneurs or anyone wanting to build a website or multiple websites. Start your website today!
Logo Design and Graphics Design
10ALOGO is the company I used to design my logo. It’s very affordable at $10 per logo design. I paid $50 and asked them to create 5 different logo designs. Then, I sent the concepts out to my audience for a vote.
Fiverr is a great website to outsource graphic design and many other services. Some services are as cheap as $5. I have used this website for drawing some of my woodworking plans. Fiverr is a very popular freelance marketplace. You could potentially use this site for a number of things related to your website or business.
Selling Stuff Online
Gumroad is what I currently use to sell (and give away for free) my digital products like woodworking plans and ebooks. Please check out my woodworking plans and download something you like.
Email Marketing
Mailchimp is what I use to manage email lists and launch my monthly newsletter. BTW, if you want to join my newsletter, fill out the form at the bottom of this page. With Mailchimp you can easily craft newsletter campaigns and track how customers are responding to those emails. The service is free for the first 2000 customers, but there is a monthly charge when you exceed that number.
Education and Inspiration
Lynda.com is a great site to learn about website design and promotion and tons of other professional development topics. You pay a little bit a month, but it’s well worth it.
