  5. I served in the Marine Corps, and through the Corps was able to see the world. Honestly, I thought that broadening my horizons would make me like America less. In reality, the more I travelled and the more I saw, the more grateful I was to be American. I’ve been to countries with a national curfew, cities with inconsistent electricity. I’m a woman and have been fortunate enough to be born in the United States, where I can do just about anything I please. I’m proud that we take care of each other and hold each other accountable.

  8. Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty…JFK– could not have said it better!

  10. I’m proud to be an American for many reasons. One is that we have a belief in individual rights.

Freedom of the Press, which gives Americans the right to publish newspapers, magazines, and other printed matter without governmental restriction and subject only to the laws of libel, obscenity, sedition, etc. The American Patriot Pen is perfect to represent this freedom, which I hold dearly.

We have the freedom to vote, practice the religion of our choice, speak freely, and freely share our thoughts or ideas through the press. I also love how we are such a diverse nation. These are only a few reasons why I am proud to be an American.

  16. Only 4.6 of the world’s population gets to live in the US. I often wondered how I got so lucky to be born here. I don’t take it for granted. One of my son’s served 3 tours in Iraq and serves in another capacity now.

  25. I am proud to be an American because this country is one of the most beautiful on Earth. We hold many freedoms that others do not, and have troops that will lay down their lives and sacrifice themselves for this beautiful land. There is more pride in Americans than I have ever seen elsewhere.
    That is what makes America awesome.
