I hope you will download the book and consider taking up the hobby of wood carving. It’s very rewarding and you can make some spectacular things for your home. Wood is such a useful and organic material. And it’s beautiful.

If you are a beginner, I highly recommend you reading my sections about Safety and get a carving glove. The book is intended for informational and demonstration purposes only. It’s not a substitute for formal woodworking training.

I have also put together a Carving Tools and Supplies Resource Page. But don’t go out a spend tons of money. Start small and work some simple projects. Shop around and read reviews.

  4. Thanks for taking the time to put this ebook together. Now I must take some time putting it all into practise. If the coronvirus takes further hold here in UK, I’ll be self-isolating in my shed and turning out spoons!
